October Membership Luncheon and RPAC Auction

Wednesday, October 18 | Courtyard by Marriott Rome Riverwalk

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

ABOUT EVENT

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of bidding on amazing items and experiences, all in support of a great cause!

This year our auction will be benefiting the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC). We will also be making a donation at our December Luncheon to Habitat for Humanity to help with a new build in Polk County.

One hundred percent of your RPAC investment is used to help elect candidates for public office that share the ideals and principles of Realtors. Seventy percent of the investment is used in state and local elections and the remaining 30 percent is used by National RPAC in key U.S. House and Senate races across the country.  RPAC is neither a Republican nor a Democratic organization. In fact, RPAC is the most bipartisan political action committee in the nation.

Several key items of how your RPAC investment pays off:

  • Preserving the Mortgage Interest Deduction (MID) in 2017 saved real estate and related industries more than $24,000 per home sale
  • Blocking a 6% state tax on real estate commissions saved the average member $2,100 every year
  • Preventing cities and counties in Georgia from charging inpidual agents a business license fee saves you more than $200 per jurisdiction in which you do business each year

We are currently accepting donations for various auction items. Joe Ingrim will be with us again this year with his sports memorabilia, and Lou Dempsey will be our auctioneer!

If you would like to donate an item, please fill out our donation form here.   Description and photo of items will need to be turned in by September 29th. Items should be dropped off at the Marriott on the morning of the auction.

We would love to see more beach, lake, mountain and resort stays (a lot of you out there own these)!

Note: Items must be donated by a GRBOR member
